Sacred Valley VIP Tour & Direct Train Connection to Machu Picchu

VIP sacred valley tour
Optimizing your time in Cusco is crucial for any traveler. The VIP Sacred Valley Tour with connection to Machu Picchu is the perfect logistical solution: a comprehensive experience that combines history, living culture and Andean landscapes in a single day, strategically culminating at the train station for your visit to the wonder of the world.
VIP Sacred Valley Itinerary: Complete Route
Unlike the traditional tour, this expanded circuit allows you to discover the hidden treasures of the route to Urubamba without having to return to the imperial capital.
Chinchero: Ancestral Textile Interpretation
The route begins by ascending towards the traditional town of Chinchero. Here, visitors participate in a textile interpretation center, where they will learn ancestral dyeing and weaving techniques with natural inputs, a living legacy of Andean women.
Moray: The Agricultural Laboratory of the Incas

The route continues towards the fascinating complex of Moray. Famous for its immense circular terraces, this site functioned as a sophisticated Inca agricultural laboratory, simulating different microclimates at different depths to adapt seeds from across the empire.
Salineras de Maras: The White Gold

We will descend towards the impressive Salineras de Maras. This ancient system of more than 3,000 salt pools, used since pre-Inca times, is fed by an underground spring and managed communally to this day.
Buffet Lunch in Urubamba
To recharge our batteries, we will stop in the heart of the valley, Urubamba. We will enjoy a complete buffet lunch based on Andean ingredients of local origin.
Ollantaytambo Fortress and Train Connection
The archaeological excursion culminates by exploring the imposing Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town that guards the access to the high jungle. After the guided tour, you will move on foot to the adjacent station to board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes, leaving you at the foot of the citadel, ready for your expedition the next day, endorsed by the UNESCO.
Why choose this path design?
Smart Logistics: You avoid paying for double transportation (Cusco – Sacred Valley – Cusco / Cusco – Ollantaytambo).
Ideal Acclimatization: You sleep in Aguas Calientes (2,040 m.a.s.l.), much lower than Cusco (3,400 m.a.s.l.), reducing the risk of altitude sickness.

Tour Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the difference between the traditional Sacred Valley and the VIP? The traditional tour (Pisac and Ollantaytambo) does not include a visit to Moray, the Salineras de Maras or the Chinchero textile center. The VIP format covers this entire western circuit in a single day, maximizing the archaeological experience.
What happens with my large luggage during the tour? Train companies (PeruRail/IncaRail) only allow a small backpack (max. 5 kg) to Aguas Calientes. We recommend leaving your main luggage in the luggage storage of your hotel in Cusco before starting the tour.
Is the Tourist Ticket included? Generally, the service covers transportation, guide and buffet lunch. You must purchase the Partial Tourist Ticket (Circuit 3) for Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo, in addition to the cash entry for the Salineras de Maras. Check our “Includes” tab for the exact details.
