Trekking to Vinicunca and Exploration of the Red Valley
The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 3:50 and 4:20 a.m. We will travel for approximately 2 hours to the community of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a nutritious buffet breakfast. We will continue by transportation on a dirt road for 1 more hour to Phullawasipata, our starting point.
We will begin the ascent on foot to the Montaña de Colores, a demanding trek that takes between 1 to 1.5 hours. At the summit of Vinicunca (5,200 meters above sea level), you will have free time to take photographs and catch your breath. Subsequently, we will begin a light 25-minute walk towards the Red Valley, exploring its intense hues and Martian formations.
After exploring both attractions, we will descend to the parking lot to return to Cusipata, where a restorative buffet lunch awaits us. Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, concluding the service near Plaza Regocijo or Plaza de Armas at 6:00 p.m. approximately.
