Full Day: Trekking to the Waqrapukara Ceremonial Center
04:30 AM to 05:00 AM - Pick up in Cusco and travel to Cusipata (1h 45m):
We will begin the tour with pick-up directly at your hotel (located in the historic center). At 5:00 a.m. We will begin the trip south to Cusipata, where we will make a 30-minute stop to enjoy an energizing breakfast.
07:00 AM - Trip to the Town of Santa Lucía (2h):
We will continue the route passing through the Chuquicahuana crossing and the road towards Acomayo until we reach Santa Lucía. Upon arriving at the starting point of the trail, our guide will provide technical instructions and safety measures.
09:00 AM - Trekking Saint Lucia – Waqrapukara (1h 30m):
We will begin the ascent trekking. The trail stands out for its impressive viewpoints of the Apurímac canyon and unique landscapes. We will make 3 short rest stops to catch our breath and take photographs.
10:30 AM - Waqrapukara Exploration:
Arrival at the Ceremonial Center. We will have a brief rest before starting the guided tour of the imposing archaeological complex, exploring its enclosures, platforms and the famous rock formation in the shape of horns.
12:00 PM - Lunch in the Field and Photographs:
We will enjoy a refreshing lunch in the countryside (box lunch/buffet). Later, they will have free time to explore the natural viewpoints and take panoramic photographs of the site and the canyon.
01:00 PM - Descent and Return:
Once the activities are over, we will begin the return walk along the same path until we reach our mobility.
02:30 PM - Trip back to Cusco:
We will board the transportation to begin the return trip, arriving in the center of the city of Cusco approximately between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
