6 Day Itinerary: Coast, Desert and Andes
The structure of this circuit guarantees a fluid transition between ecosystems, optimizing land and air travel times.
Days 1 and 2: The Ica Desert and the Ballestas Islands

The trip begins in Lima with a full-day excursion south. We will set sail towards the Ballestas Islands to observe the marine fauna of the Pacific up close. Later, we will enter the desert to visit the Huacachina Oasis. Here, adrenaline takes control with a circuit of sandboarding and tubular (buggies) in the immense dunes of Ica before returning to the capital.
Days 3 and 4: Flight to Cusco and the Wonder of the World

From Lima, we took a direct internal flight to Cusco. After a brief acclimatization period, we will head through the Sacred Valley to board the train to Aguas Calientes. The fourth day is dedicated exclusively to exploring the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, declared a Wonder of the Modern World and protected by the UNESCO, where an expert guide will reveal the secrets of its architecture and astronomy.
Days 5 and 6: The Challenge of Vinicunca and Return

With the body already acclimatized to the Andean altitude, on the fifth day we will face one of the most spectacular hikes in South America: the Montaña de Siete Colors (Vinicunca). At more than 5,000 meters above sea level, you will witness an incredible natural palette of Andean colors, a product of ancient mineral oxidation. Day 6 concludes with your transfer to the airport for your return flight.
Why Choose This Combination Circuit
Logistics solved: Transfers, train tickets, income (Tourist Ticket and Machu Picchu) managed by local operators.
Progressive acclimatization: We start at sea level and leave the highest altitude (Vinicunca) for the end of the trip.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is 6 days enough to visit Lima and Cusco? Yes, this itinerary is optimized for travelers with limited time. By managing all transfers and internal flights efficiently, we managed to cover the coast (Ica/Paracas) and the main Andean attractions (Machu Picchu and Vinicunca) without downtime.
What does the tour to the Mountain of 7 Colors include? The ascent to Vinicunca includes tourist transportation from Cusco, buffet breakfast, Andean lunch, trekking poles, oxygen cylinder for emergencies and the assistance of an official high mountain guide.
How is acclimatization handled on this itinerary? The design of the route is strategic. The first days take place at sea level. Upon arriving in Cusco (3,400 meters above sea level), we descend towards Machu Picchu (2,400 meters above sea level), which reduces the impact of the soroche, leaving the highest point (Vinicunca, 5,000 meters above sea level) for day 5, when your body has already generated adaptation.
