About the Tour

A complete Andean adventure combining history, cloud forest, and the mythical Hidroelectrica route to Machu Picchu.

Cusco, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Sacred Valley, Abra Malaga, Santa Teresa, Hidroelectrica, Machu Picchu, South Valley, Tipon, Rainbow Mountain

Immerse yourself in Andean culture and lush nature with our 7-Day and 6-Night Cusco Package, specially designed for travelers seeking an extra touch of adventure. During the first few days, we will explore imposing Inca architecture on our City Tour (visiting Qoricancha and Sacsayhuaman) and discover the fascinating markets and ruins of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

The standout feature of this route comes on the third day, when we cross the imposing snowy Abra Malaga pass to descend into the cloud forest in Santa Teresa. We will reach the Wonder of the World, Machu Picchu, via the famous and scenic Hidroelectrica route, surrounded by tropical vegetation. The experience is completed by returning to high altitudes to conquer Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) at over 5,000 meters and exploring the impressive pre-Inca and hydraulic circuits of the South Valley. We take care of everything so you can enjoy to the fullest!

Tips for your Andean and jungle experience

🦟
Insect repellent
For days 3 and 4 (Hidroelectrica Route and Machu Picchu) you will be in the cloud forest area. A good repellent and long-sleeved shirts are essential.
🎒
Light luggage
Take only a small backpack for your night in Aguas Calientes. Your large suitcase will be safely kept at your hotel in Cusco.
🧥
Versatile clothing
Cusco and Vinicunca are very cold, but Santa Teresa and Aguas Calientes are warm and humid areas. Dress in layers so you can adapt.
💊
Motion sickness pills
The car trip from Abra Malaga to Santa Teresa has many curves. If you are susceptible, bring medication for motion sickness.
