This fascinating 8 Days and 7 Nights circuit is the ideal option for those who want to experience all the diversity of Peru. We will start on the coast visiting the Ballestas Islands and the Huacachina desert. Then, we will fly to Cusco, the navel of the world, where we will explore impressive archaeological sites, the VIP Sacred Valley, and the magical citadel of Machu Picchu.

The adventure intensifies with a hike to the spectacular Rainbow Mountain, before embarking on a night bus to the high plateau. In Puno, we will sail through the crystal clear waters of Lake Titicaca to discover the floating islands of Uros and the rich textile culture of Taquile, thus crowning an unforgettable trip through the three great tourist regions of southern Peru.

Cusco

The imperial city of Cusco is located in southeastern Peru, in the Andes Mountains. It sits at over 3,300 meters (10,800 feet) above sea level and was the former capital of the Inca Empire. Today, it is one of the most important tourist destinations in South America.

Ica

Ica is located on the southern coast of Peru, about 4–5 hours from Lima, surrounded by desert landscapes and close to the Pacific Ocean.

Lima

Lima is located on the central coast of Peru, along the Pacific Ocean, and is the main international gateway to the country.

Puno

Puno is located in southeastern Peru, in the Andean region, near the border with Bolivia, on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

Step by step

Itinerary – Lima, Cusco & Puno 8 Days

Day 1

Arrival in Lima

Reception at the Lima airport and transfer to your selected hotel in private transport. Check-in is available from 14:00 PM.

Day 2

Paracas + Ica + Huacachina

Pick-up at 04:30 am. Tour to the Ballestas Islands to observe marine wildlife. In the afternoon, wine/pisco tasting and buggy & sandboarding adventure in Huacachina. Return to Lima approx. 22:00 pm.

Day 3

Flight to Cusco + City Tour

Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. Reception and start of the City Tour in the afternoon (12:45 pm) visiting Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.

Day 4

VIP Sacred Valley + Connection

Pick-up at 06:00 am. We will visit Chinchero, Maras Salt Mines, and Moray. Buffet lunch in Urubamba, visit to Ollantaytambo, and train ride to Aguas Calientes.

Day 5

Machu Picchu Full Day

Bus ascent to the citadel. 2-hour guided tour exploring Circuit 2. In the afternoon, return train to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station and transfer to Cusco.

Day 6

Rainbow Mountain + Bus to Puno

Pick-up at 04:10 am and breakfast in Cusipata. Hike to Rainbow Mountain. Return to Cusco at 17:00 pm after a buffet lunch. At night (22:00 pm), we board the bus to Puno.

Day 7

Lake Titicaca (Uros & Taquile)

Arrival in Puno at 05:00 am. At 07:00 am we set sail for the Full Day tour visiting the floating islands of Uros and Taquile Island. In the evening, overnight bus return from Puno to Cusco.

Arrival in Cusco & Transfer

Pick-up from the Cusco bus terminal. Transfer to the city airport at the indicated time for your return flight. End of service.

The visible price ($651) is for the “Tours Only” package. We have comprehensive rates that include 2 nights in Lima, 2 nights in Cusco, and 1 in Aguas Calientes (the other 2 nights are spent on the bus) from 2 to 5-star categories.

You travel on a comfortable night bus. Departure from Cusco is at 22:00 pm, arriving in Puno at 05:00 am the next day (approx. 8 hours trip). The return from Puno is under the same overnight modality.

No, but we can provide an add-on ticket for the Lima-Cusco leg that includes a 10-kilo suitcase for around $170 USD.

Layered Clothing

The weather will change drastically between the heat of Ica and the cold of Lake Titicaca in Puno. A coat for the highlands and light clothing for the coast are vital.

Extreme Hydration

Drink plenty of liquids during Andean excursions to combat altitude sickness, especially in Vinicunca and Puno.

Bus Comfort

You will have two nights traveling by bus; bring a neck pillow, personal toiletries in a carry-on backpack, and some cash in soles.
