Day 1

Welcome to Cusco + City Tour

Upon arrival in Cusco, our team will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will start the traditional City Tour visiting Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay to help acclimatize the body.

Day 2

Machu Picchu Full Day

Very early we will transfer to the Ollantaytambo or Poroy station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. We will take the bus up to the Inca citadel for a guided tour. In the afternoon, return by train and transfer to Cusco.

Day 3

Rainbow Mountain

Early morning departure to Cusipata for breakfast. We will ascend Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) to over 16,400 ft. After enjoying the scenery, we descend for a buffet lunch and return to Cusco.

Airport Transfer

Breakfast at the hotel. At the coordinated time, private transfer from the hotel to the Cusco airport to board your return flight. End of our services.

Any questions?

It is recommended to book at least 1 or 2 months in advance, especially in high season (May to October), as internal flights and Machu Picchu entrance tickets sell out quickly.

We coordinate transfers according to your exact flight schedule. If you arrive late in the afternoon, we can reschedule the City Tour subject to availability or offer you an alternative.

It is moderate to demanding due to the altitude exceeding 16,400 feet. However, you will have two previous days in Cusco to acclimatize and the option to rent a horse along the way if required.

The standard tourist train (PeruRail Expedition or Inca Rail Voyager) is included. You can request an upgrade to the Vistadome or panoramic category for an additional cost.

Tours operate normally throughout the year, even in the rain. Activities are only rescheduled in case of extreme weather that poses a safety risk. It is recommended to always carry a rain poncho.

Layered Clothing

Bring a waterproof jacket and thermal clothes for the cold early morning in Vinicunca, and light clothes for the sunny midday in Machu Picchu. Wear trekking shoes.

Rest well on the first day, drink plenty of water, eat light, avoid alcohol, and drink coca leaf tea to help acclimatization.
