Any questions?

The tour starts at 10:30 a.m. in the city center of Uyuni (Bolivia) and ends on the second day at approximately 04:00 p.m. in the same place.

The Toyota Land Cruiser 4×4 vehicles accommodate a maximum of 6 passengers plus the driver, ensuring comfort and safety.

Basic salt hostels in the communities do not have central heating, and nighttime temperatures drop below freezing. We provide blankets, but we strongly recommend wearing very warm thermal clothing.

During the rainy season, the salt flat floods, creating the famous “mirror effect.” For safety reasons, Incahuasi Island and the route to Coquesa may become inaccessible, so the itinerary is modified to keep you safe.

Yes, space in the 4×4 vehicles is limited. We recommend bringing only a small backpack or carry-on bag per person for the 2-day trip.
Recommendations

Get ready for the white desert

🧥
Layered Thermal Clothing
The thermal contrast is extreme. It is hot during the day from the sun, but at night temperatures drop to freezing levels. Bring a windbreaker, thermal clothing, gloves, and a beanie.

☀️
Extreme UV Protection
The sun’s reflection on the salt burns the skin quickly and can damage your eyes. Use 50+ SPF sunscreen, good quality UV-blocking sunglasses, and lip balm.

💵
Cash in Bolivianos (Bs)
There are no ATMs and cards are not accepted on the route. Bring cash (small bills and coins) to pay for entrances, bathrooms, and to buy crafts.

📸
Perspective Photos
The vastness of the salt flat cancels out depth perception. Bring small toys (like dinosaurs or cars) to create fun perspective photos.
